Fear is healthy

Matthew 10:28 ESV

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Fear and Fear are two different things.

In one sense, i want my children to fear the fire and the stove so that they don’t need me to remind them every time to not touch a hot stove and to always check a cast iron to make sure they don’t burn themselves.

In another sense, i don’t want my children be afraid of fire because I've taught them how to be safe around a fire.

You should recognize danger

Demons are not weak*

• Demons are able to take shape, form and be visible to humans (Job 4:15).

• Demons may be exercised, or driven out, from a possessed person. However, this may be dangerous if not followed by stringent cleaning and discipleship. Without the holy spirit, the person might then be open for a seven-fold infestation (Matthew 12:45).

• Demons confuse the truth by utilizing demonic lies and half-truths (1 John 4:4).

• Those who worship idols and pagan gods are really worshipping and sacrificing to demons. Demons live to deceive people into worshipping themselves (1 Corinthians 10:20-21).

• The Bible teaches that demons can inhabit animals (Matthew 8:31).

• Demons are capable of unmatched harm and destruction (2 Peter 2:4-5, Revelation 9:1-7).

• Demons will eventually be chained along with Satan in the millenium and ultimately destroyed. (Revelation 20:10).

• God has given us every too necessary to stand against Satan and win. The best weapon we have in consistently defeating Satan is effective and constant discipleship.

But you should Not live in fear

1 John 4:18 ESV

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

• perfect here is teleos and teleos is a completion type of perfection.

• Because there is no punishment in those who are in christ jesus, you should not live in fear

• You should be afraid if you are still living a walk that is not in harmony with Jesus and his path

You should live prepared

Close any windows in the home of your soul so no one can get back in. Media, practices, cherished sins, unchristian attitudes. All of these can let in demons. and they will get in.

Matthew 12:43–45 ESV

“When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.”

Don’t be satisfied with keeping demons out

1 Corinthians 6:19 ESV

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,

Wear the lifestyle of christian for protection and spiritual self defense

Ephesians 6:11–17 ESV

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,

Follow the path that God has outlined. in it is safety.

Isaiah 30:20–21 ESV

And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
